The ultra-modern design hotel TORTUE HAMBURG in the center of the Hanseatic city is a place of relaxation, culinary pleasure and the perfect base for your trip to the most beautiful metropolis in Germany. The British star architect Sir David Chipperfield designed the historic building in cooperation with Stephen Williams. Kate Hume from Amsterdam, Joyce Wang from Hong Kong, Stephen Williams as well as the interior design house Bornhold from Hamburg could be won as interior designers. Strolling between Stadthausbrücke, Große Bleichen and Neuer Wall, one finds oneself en passant in the middle of Hamburg's history, to which the TORTUE owes its name: When Hamburg was a department of Paris between 1806 and 1814, no less a person than Napoléon stayed in the historic quarter. He and his men brought to Hamburg not only the inspiration for the French roll, not only chausses, bellevues and palaces, but also an idea of that world-famous savoir-vivre. Translated into today, it is, first of all, the delightful art of living never to hurry! And which living being understands itself on it quite exemplarily? Et voilà! The turtle - French la tortue. TORTUE reminds us to take our time. Especially when we don't have any. Because haste and pleasure are mutually exclusive. The physical well-being is taken care of in the hotel's own bars and restaurants. Whether it's the German-inspired, French cuisine of the "brasserie" or the Asian cuisine of the "JIN GUI" - both restaurants provide their guests with unforgettable moments of pleasure. The smokers' lounge "bar bleu" is located on the mezzanine floor, as is the "brasserie", which invites guests to breakfast, lunch and dinner in a hanseatic yet always très français atmosphere. Be it for a relaxed seminar or for private dining with colleagues: Meeting capacities are offered by three individual "salons" with a breakout zone. In the basement of the hotel is the "bar noir". A place, designed by Stephen Williams, where reunions, business successes or private occasions can be celebrated in style - expandable by the "bar privé". The inner courtyard leads to the Asian restaurant "JIN GUI", designed by the renowned Hong Kong designer Joyce Wang. A restaurant with open kitchen, Asian directed, with international influence and for very special occasions two individual private dining rooms.
