On October 21, 2023, one of the most exclusive event locations in Tyrol will reopen: The MS Achensee, flagship of the Achensee Shipping Company's fleet, will once again become the place to be for whisky enthusiasts. The proceedings will kick off with the impressive entry of the bagpipers, dressed in traditional kilts. Guests are also cordially encouraged to present themselves in Scottish attire and enjoy the unique flair of Tyrol's Lake Achensee to the fullest. The TASTING DAY begins early at 10 a.m.; guests will have the opportunity to discover whiskies from around the world with their nosing glass and socialize with experts and like-minded aficionados. Achenseeschifffahrt is providing two ships for the festival, which will host internationally-staffed tasting booths, expert masterclasses, a cozy cigar lounge, praline and chocolate stands, as well as a café, bar, and food truck that will provide exceptional dishes tailored to the event. The day will culminate in the evening hours with a dinner & talk.

Immersed in the exclusive world of whisky, visitors will be astounded by the pure elegance of a lake cruise on board the MS Achensee. To add to the enchantment, an exquisite five-course menu will be served, which was carefully crafted to accompany the spirits on offer. Culinary perfection and international whisky experts make this an unforgettable experience. Achenseeschifffahrt wishes "Slàinte mhath!", or as they say in Pertisau, "To health!" The event is held in cooperation with Pernod Ricard Austria, among others.
