At present, we can only dream of being able to Cultural exhibitions around the globe. Since it might be a while before that changes and we already really miss art, here are five of the best virtual museum tours, from New York to Paris.

1. Louvre, Paris

For months, one of the most famous museums in the world has had to do without visitors. Fortunately, the Louvre now provides art lovers with priceless works from different eras in a different way. Because online, virtual guests can choose between a few museum tours or do them all in a row. The virtual tour also almost feels like you're actually there. The advantages: it's free, there's no crowds, and you can get sprinkled from the comfort of your couch.

2. MOMA, New York

One of the most visited museums is the Museum of Modern Art in the middle of the metropolis New York City. The Manhattan structure houses one of the world's most important and influential collections of modern and contemporary art. To keep art enthusiasts happy during the pandemic, there are exclusive online tours of the museum, but they are only offered at certain times. Additionally, the museum offers a live Q&A with the artists after the tours.

3rd Natural History Museum, London

London is home to the Natural History Muesum, one of the largest natural history museums in the world. As we are currently unable to visit the impressive Romanesque-Byzantine building from 1860 in person, the museum offers virtual museum tours. These range from a 360-degree tour of the Fantastic Beast exhibition to a guided tour through the world of Sir David Attenborough and live discussions with scientists.

4th Frida Kahlo Museum, Mexico City

Mexico City is not exactly around the corner. If you still don't want to miss out on immersing yourself in the exciting world of the famous Frida Kahlo, it's best to take a virtual tour of the museum. The building is also known as "the blue house", as it is surrounded by cobalt blue walls. Inside are showpieces from the Mexican artist's life and works. These range from colorful designs to artistic self-portraits.

5. Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, Spain

If you are on holiday in Spain, you should not miss the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. The impressive museum is home to modern art on an exhibition area of 11,000 m2. However, as we have limited opportunities to travel to the Basque Country at the moment, Google Arts offers the chance to take a virtual museum tour. There are many impressive and artistic photographs and works from Mark Rothko and Yves Klein to Willem de Kooning and Anselm Kiefer.
