Kronplatz

High above Brunico, Valdaora and San Vigilio, Kronplatz is situated at 2275 meters, a winter sports paradise that is also excellently suited for children and families with its gentle hills and wide slopes. The striking mountain is located in South Tyrol, until the end of the First World War the region in northern Italy belonged to Austria. This is exactly what makes the special charm of this area, which combines the best of both worlds: rustic huts serve both pasta and dumplings; outstanding is the alpine star cuisine as served up by top chef Norbert Niederkofler, who sources his products from local farms and creatively contributes to the trend towards sustainability. Kronplatz also has a lot to offer architecturally: At the summit, a former mountain station has been transformed into a photography museum. On 1800 square meters you can immerse yourself in the world of historical alpine photographs, but there are also special exhibitions on a regular basis.
