The grapes of the region are already heavy-sweet and ripe for the harvest. All around, the change of seasons bathes the leaves in vibrant shades of red, yellow and orange. Culinary views
In terms of gourmet enjoyment, the Castel was upgraded last year: As the centerpiece of the new building, two restaurants were created, which are included in the room rate and boast great panoramic views of Merano. Chef Gerhard Wieser and his kitchen team are responsible for the excellent culinary concept of the two restaurants.

Castel ÀlaCarte
On the one hand, in the course of half board, you dine in the à la carte in an elegant ambience and, according to Falstaff, the best hotel cuisine in South Tyrol. The golden twilight of autumn days falls into the restaurant through the large window fronts and the glass roof, and later the starry ceiling drapes over the diners. And when Chef Gerhard Wieser serves an excellent menu consisting of three starters, three entrees, three main courses and three desserts, the atmosphere is perfect.
Castel finedining
At Castel finedining guests dine exclusively on one of only five tables with a view of Merano. Chef Wieser and his team have already been awarded two Michelin stars, 5 toques/19 points Gault&Millau and 2020 with the "best service in South Tyrol" by falstaff for their culinary masterpieces in the exclusive panorama restaurant - and rightly so!

Space for recreation
Those who spend their days on long hikes or e-bike tours through the colorful autumn forests of South Tyrol will find their personal refuge in 25 rooms and 20 suites. The accommodations feature large window fronts and wonderfully soft beds. Comfort meets modern interior. And then it's off to the next Castel experience, such as a chairlift ride to Merano or a day trip to Bolzano.
