Rooms & suites

The 299 rooms and suites and the 74 exclusive residences in the Residential Tower define luxury in a new way. Above all, it is a spaciousness that is characteristic of the entire building. A conscious decision was made to forego a large number of guest rooms. The generously proportioned rooms have at least 50 square meters of space and feature high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow views of the river or garden. Perfectly coordinated shades of white and gray echo the colors of the river. Sliding wall panels, covered in imitation ostrich leather, separate the living area from the bathroom, which has freestanding designer bathtubs and separate glass-enclosed showers and toilets. Really comfortable are the fluffy bathrobes, and the finest cotton was also used for the down comforters and pillows. Special amenities include a small house bar with instructions on how to make special cocktails.

Ambience

The design unmistakably bears the signature of the famous interior designer Jean-Michel Gathy. "Sometimes dramatic. Sometimes intimate. But always charismatic" - that's his motto. Even the lobby, heart of the hotel, captivates with wavy curtains on which elephants can be seen very discreetly. The pachyderms - for Thai Buddhists they symbolize luck, strength, diligence and intelligence and are therefore revered - escort the guest to the reception desk. This is located in a gilded roundel and represents the rising sun on the river. At the opposite end of the elongated lounge, where a stylish afternoon tea is celebrated, the course of the Chao Phraya River can be seen on a relief that extends to the ceiling. High glass walls, running water and numerous pools create a connection to the outdoors. Curated by Gathy himself, a dedicated ART Space is in collaboration with MOCA. It extends from the lobby to the river, and in it contemporary Thai artists present their works in changing exhibitions.

Gastronomy

The fine, Cantonese cuisine, has already been awarded a Michelin star. You can watch the chefs in the open kitchen preparing Peking duck and delicious dim sum. And then there's Andrea Accordi, who brings a culinary love letter from Italy to Thailand. There are other culinary offerings with the French Brasserie Palmier - where guests sample oysters and enjoy fine wines - and the Madeleine Cafe.

Service

As in every house of the group, the well-being of the guests is the focus. The hosts act incredibly friendly and competent.

Upcoming Spa

The Urban Wellness Center doesn't just offer simple massages and beauty treatments. Rather, it's about celebrating monk-inspired holistic treatments such as quartz massages. They are based on the practice of harnessing the earth's energy by grounding the body to the earth's natural surfaces. In the process, the healing powers of quartz combine with the warmth of the massage bed to create a unique revitalizing treatment. Fitness rooms with natural light and state-of-the-art equipment allow for relaxed workouts. The same goes for swimming. In addition to the infinity pools, there is a separate 30-meter pool for athletic swimmers.

Location/Surroundings

The hotel and a residential tower are located in a prominent position in Creative District and directly on the mighty Chao Phraya River. There are numerous restaurants and cafes in the area. In addition, there are galleries and interesting stores.

A Tip from the editorial office

End the evening at the hotel's own BKK Social Club! It brings a piece of Argentina to Thailand in the style of 1920s Buenos Aires. The German bar manager Philip Bischoff serves cocktails created by himself from noble spirits such as the "La Pampa" - prepared from Apostoles Gin, eucalyptus honey and lemon. Cheers!
