Once you have checked off the typical sights such as Timesquare, the Statue of Liberty or Rockefeller Center, you are ready to experience the real New York. Also known as the "New York Staircase", the work of British designer Thomas Heatherwick is located near the High Line Park, is oval and consists of stairs that are connected by levels. Restaurant tips

If you're feeling peckish afterwards, we recommend you visit one of the city's excellent gourmet restaurants. In the Michelin Guide mentioned Balthazar Restaurant in SoHo, you can expect a fine selection of fresh seafood as well as delicious bread and pastries from their own bakery. An absolute hotspot among insiders! Vegans, vegetarians and all other gourmets for whom it doesn't always have to be animal protein will love the plant-based restaurant. The Butcher's Daughter which has two branches in Manhattan as well as one in Brooklyn. Be sure to enjoy one of their delicious juices with your meal!

Where to stay

The only thing missing is the right accommodation - at least if you decide to sleep in the city that never sleeps. Of course, New York also has an almost endless selection of hotels: You will feel like a movie star at the Baccarat Hotel amidst the glittering fine crystals of France and the luxurious interior design of Gilles & Boissier.
