Where to Go: The Safest Travel Destinations in 2025

The highly anticipated annual Risk Map by Safeture and Riskline has been released. It reveals the riskiest and safest travel destinations for 2025.

December 17, 2024

For several years now, the Swedish software company for professional risk management, Safeture, and the Danish content provider and travel risk analyst, Riskline, have been publishing their annual interactive Risk Map. It highlights which countries face negligible, low, medium, high, and critical levels of risk. Factors such as health infrastructure, a country’s political stability, and natural disasters are taken into account for the assessment. One of the most notable changes compared to the previous year is that signs of instability are beginning to emerge in Europe. Nevertheless, many European destinations remain among the safest countries for 2025. Here are the top 5 outside of Europe:

Canada

The friendliness of Canadians is legendary. Could this be why the crime rate is remarkably low? Especially when it comes to violent crime, there’s nothing to worry about in Canada. The democracy functions well, and the political landscape can therefore be considered stable. Additionally, the country boasts a well-developed healthcare system. Both residents and travelers have access to comprehensive medical care. So far, Canada has also been spared from natural disasters. All of this makes it one of the safest countries to travel to.
