Endless space, a bed with a breathtaking view, marble bathrooms and everything else the most extraordinary suites in the world score with.

March 25, 2022

What makes a suite a suite? Well, there are no clear rules for this. In general, you can assume that suites are larger in relation to other accommodations in the hotel. However, this alone says nothing about their facilities. Usually, they offer more space as well as luxurious extras. The following hotels go one step further. Because they offer accommodations with a WOW! factor. And here are the most extraordinary suites among them:

1. Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Maldives: The Muraka

The Muraka is a two-story overwater villa. It has two bedrooms, its own private infinity pool, a private butler available around the clock and spacious outdoor areas. The real feature of the villa, however, is underwater. Underwater the Master Bedroom awaits - accessible via a spiral staircase or elevator. The walls and ceiling are transparent. So you can go on an underwater safari from your bed. Just take a dive - here it works without getting wet. conradmaldives.com

2. The Mark, New York City/USA: The Penthouse

There is probably no more luxurious address in New York than Madison Avenue. And this is exactly where The Mark is located. The rooms and suites were designed by Jacques Grange, among others. The hotel's penthouse was a particularly hard work for him. It is an incredible 1,100 square meters in size. The roof terrace alone accounts for 232 square meters. There, by the way, was a private ice-skating rink last winter. Exclusively for the penthouse guests. In addition to unparalleled views over Central Park and the rooftops of the city, guests can expect five bedrooms, six bathrooms and a "Grand Ballroom." themarkhotel.com

3. Sabi Sands, South Africa: Lion Sands Treehouse

Can you call something that has no walls a suite? You can. The bed is on a platform of about 40 square meters on stilts. So you're definitely safe from animals. And yet you can get very close to them. Just like the millions of stars that lie above the African bush at night in the dark night sky. The overnight experience is accompanied by a picnic basket with numerous delicacies. Conveniently, you can't help but do a little digital detox here. There is no WIFI. sabi-sands.com

4. Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates/Dubai: Ski Chalet

It's 40 degrees outside the hotel. But from the bed you have a view onto the ski slope. How does that work? In Dubai, anything is possible. Because this suite is located in the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. Just like the indoor ski slope Dubai Skiing. Called "Aspen Ski Chalet," the suites come in a variety of sizes with up to four bedrooms. To create an alpine flair in the middle of the desert, the suites are equipped with crackling fireplaces and furnished in an alpine chic style. kempinski.com

5. Prana by Atzaro, Indonesia: Master Bedroom

The Prana by Atzaró is considered the most luxurious yacht in the world. If you take a look around the Master Bedroom "Batavia", it quickly becomes clear why. Because you are far from a cabin here. On the 55-meter-long Phinsi yacht, you sleep in a king-size bed with a view of the sea. An outdoor area invites you to unwind as the handcrafted yacht glides through the waters of the Indian Ocean. 180 degree panoramic views, bathroom with rain shower and 57 square meters of living space complete the suite. pranabyatzaro.com

6. Excelsior Hotel Gallia, Milan/Italy: Katara Royal Suite

Excelsior Hotel Gallia, a Luxury Collection Hotel, scores with the largest Presidential Suite in Italy. It is more than 1,000 square meters and has its own spa including a jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. Two terraces offer breathtaking views over the city. If you like, you can also fire up the barbecue here and make yourself comfortable on the lushly landscaped area. The suite is also almost like a showroom for Italian design. Murano chandeliers dangle from the ceiling, the leather furniture is by B&B Italie, and there are Fendi sofas and Febo chairs by Maxalto, among others. marriott.com
