Barceló Hotel Group opens two new hotels in Alicante

This adds two new gems to the five-star comfort on the Costa Blanca.

Growth to the power of two: Since July 2021, the Barceló Hotel Group has added two more exclusive hotels on the Spanish Southeast coast of Alicante to its portfolio. The Barceló La Nucia Hills opened its doors at the beginning of June, followed by the inauguration of the neighbouring Barceló La Nucia Palms in mid-July. The two five-star hotels are located in the municipality of La Nucía in the province of Alicante near the Costa Blanca.

With its 94 apartments, the Barceló La Nucía Hills impresses with its avant-garde design and appeals primarily to families, business travellers or smaller groups. The region around the Sierra Helada nature park and the popular Levante beach is not only known to be an attractive sun and beach destination, but has also established itself as a popular sports destination, thanks to its year-round mild climate.

The hotels offer various fitness facilities and wellness areas with several saunas for regeneration after an active day. With the new openings, the Barceló Hotel Group has confirmed its expansion plans on the southeast coast of Spain, where it already operates five hotels. An overnight stay for two people, in an apartment at the Barceló La Nucía Hills costs at least 203 euros, including breakfast.

The Barceló La Nucia Palms offers 148 spacious rooms and suites and an oasis-like palm garden. Various retreat oases and lounges around the pool area provide relaxation. The interior also reflects the surrounding nature in the form of natural hues and light woods. Recurring surprises include hidden design elements such as undulating patterns as well as shades of green and blue referencing the Mediterranean and nature. A fully equipped gym, five massage cabins and a wellness area with heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, Turkish bath and contrast showers will delight active and relaxation-seeking guests alike.

But the hotel also knows how to spoil its guests with culinary delights. The buffet restaurant offers a wide selection of Mediterranean and international dishes; snacks and refreshments are available at the pool bar. The B-Heaven, a rooftop bar on the hotel's roof with views of the Sierra de Aitana and the sea, is considered a highlight. The Barceló La Nucia Palms welcomes guests from 221 euros per night in a double room including breakfast.
