Bill Gates and Cascade Investment take majority stake in Four Seasons
Microsoft founder Bill Gates is increasing his Four Seasons stake to more than 71 percent with investment fund Cascade Investment.

With over 121 hotels and residences in over 47 countries, Four Seasons is one of the most luxurious and hip hotel chains in the world. The properties are distinguished by quiet elegance and excellent service and accommodate numerous guests worldwide every year.
Now, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his investment fund Cascade Investment are taking over the majority shares of the hotel group. The shares were bought from the Kingdom Holding Company of the Saudi Arabian Prince Al-Walid bin Talal for 2.21 billion dollars (just under 1.91 million euros), who will only hold 23.75 percent of the shares in the future.
The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons hotel chain operates 121 hotels and 46 residential properties worldwide. One of the latest additions is the Four Seasons in New Orleans.
