Similar to the Oscars, there are also different categories at the Crystal Cabin Awards in which you can win prizes. But the most interesting are probably those that deal with the design of the aircraft cabins.

Category "Visionary Concepts

The aircraft manufacturer Airbus was able to convince with the concept "Airspace Cabin Vision 2030". The highlight of the futuristic constellation is that the aircraft cabin moves with the times and is digitally aligned to the different needs of passengers. In this version, there are also flexible seating as well as lounge options. Even dedicated compartments for families and gaming on board are planned. Certainly interesting for long-haul flights: an area for fitness exercises.

Category "University

The "University" category was also represented in the award show. This prize went to the University of Cincinnati, which presented the "Coffee House Cabin" concept. True to its name, the aircraft cabin resembles a university library. This is because there is a large workspace in the middle that can be used for meetings, for working or for coffee breaks.

Category "Cabin concept

The best cabin concept was presented by the Israeli company Eviation Aircraft. The first purely electric commuter jet is a sensation in itself. But "Alice", as the luxury aircraft is called, is also impressive from the inside. The exclusive design runs through all areas. The seats are lined up in a reverse herringbone seating arrangement. This allows every passenger to look out of the large windows. A total of up to nine passengers should have space and be able to fly a distance of 1000 kilometers.
