Four Seasons Goes to Sea: The Luxury Brand's First Yacht Will Embark On Its Maiden Voyage in 2025

The legendary Four Seasons service will span the world's oceans soon. The brand's first yacht is scheduled to set sail in 2025.

September 30, 2022

It's the many small details that make the Four Seasons experience so special. Ever since Canadian hotelier Isadore "Issy" Sharp opened the brand's first property in 1960, the goal has always been to go above and beyond the standard of other five-star hotels. In doing so, the company has always acted in a visionary and innovative manner. In the spirit of this corporate tradition, the next coup is around the corner. After 124 hotels and resorts, 50 residential properties in 47 countries and the legendary Four Seasons private jet experience, the brand is now venturing onto the high seas with the first Four Seasons yacht, scheduled to set sail in 2025.

The luxury's in the detail

The visionaries behind the project are Nadim Ashi and Philip Levine. The leading luxury entrepreneurs developed the Four Seasons Yacht experience. Fincantieri is responsible for its implementation. The world's leading shipbuilding group will deliver the first new vessel by the end of 2025. Features include bespoke craftsmanship, personalized service and a commitment to excellence. The yacht will be 207 meters long and 27 meters wide. Its 14 decks will provide guests with nearly 50 percent more space than previously available in the cruise industry.

In addition to a maximum of privacy, passengers of the 95 villa-like residences will enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious terraces. Indoor and outdoor areas and particularly high ceilings will create rooms flooded with light. The "smallest" of the suites will have a total area of 54 square meters – the largest will extend over four floors and span 892 square meters. Enough to earn it a spot on the list of the most extraordinary suites in the world. Guests of the suite will relax in the private plunge pool and enjoy their own spa area.

Maritime masterminds

World-renowned studios are responsible for the design, such as Tillberg Designs from Sweden, who are responsible for the design of the outdoor area and the guest suites. London's Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is in charge of the spectacular guest areas, while Prosper Assouline is providing creative direction. And there's plenty to do. After all, in addition to the guest suites, there are restaurants, lounges, bar concepts, a full-service spa, a salon, and leisure areas to design.

A dedicated and experienced team will complete the immaculate experience aboard the Four Seasons yacht. They will be responsible for bringing the itineraries and destinations to life. One of the ways they succeed is through an industry-unique staff-to-guest ratio.

An icon is born

"Four Seasons Yachts represents the next chapter in our long history of industry-leading innovation and is a milestone for our company as we continue to embrace new opportunities to expand the Four Seasons world," said Christian Clerc, president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "True vision rests on our ability to imagine the possibilities while always staying true to our brand values. Our vision for this new project does just that."

The maiden voyage is planned for 2025. Further details are to be unveiled by then. And they promise to be sensational. After all, Larry Pimentel, experienced luxury travel expert, is certain: "When we launch in 2025, there will be nothing like it on the world's oceans. Our shipbuilding partnership with Fincantieri completes a triumvirate of industry leaders in this unprecedented luxury lifestyle project."
