They are currently very trendy: luxurious A-Frame Cabins make the hearts of outdoor fans and nature lovers beat faster. Rightly at the sight of the Minne Stuga they throb somewhat louder than usual: The 70s chalet style cabin was newly renovated under the guidance of designer and lifestyle blogger Melissa Coleman, known as The Faux Martha. The result makes you want to head straight for the idyllic Minnesota wilderness.

From old to new

Built in the 1970s in the chic A-Frame look, the Minne entices as a renovated Week(-end)-Getaway to the Devil Track Lake. Designer Melissa Coleman and her husband Kevin teamed up to implement the redesign with Taiga Design+Build from the Grand Marais. What will please lovers of the 70s: A full 90 percent of the original building has been preserved.

The old cedar - except for the original paneling with red cedar inside - was replaced with the sturdy, sustainable Kebony-wood from Norway. Also, you now have a particularly safe roof over your head, because this was replaced by Taiga and equipped with heat- and energy-efficient panels. In addition, the cabin was supplemented by a spacious terrace area, from where you can reach the peaceful lakeshore within a few steps. However, it is highly unlikely that you will want to leave the cozy atmosphere of the Stuga House so quickly.

Minneso-tired: Sleeping in Minne Stuga

Melissa Coleman's Cabin is a great place to sleep as a couple, but also with the family. Apart from the comfortable bedroom in natural earth tones and forest green, the cabin also has its own children's room with a four-person bunk bed.

We like: Here's why the A-Frame Cabin in northern Minnesota is compelling.

The carefully chosen accessories, lovingly cozy sitting areas, a nature-inspired color palette and pretty chic interiors make the Stuga House a cottage with boutique hotel character. And in the middle of Minnesota's peaceful woods, right on the lake - just great.
