SAFE WINTER HOLIDAYS: GASTEIN SCORES WITH ADDITIONAL SAFETY MEASURES IN THE BUSINESSES

For the tourism region of Gastein, the focus in this special Winter the safety of guests, employees and locals is paramount. In this context, compliance with all relevant regulations and measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 goes without saying. In order to take even more protective measures beyond the legal requirements, the tourism associations Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein have developed a comprehensive safety and communication concept.

Regional seal of quality ensures safety

Hotels, restaurants, retailers and infrastructure companies, such as mountain railways and thermal spas, which are committed to extraordinary safety standards, are awarded the regional seal of approval "Safe Gastein Partner"awarded. With the logo, the guest receives both online and on-site in the premises simple and clear information about businesses that are particularly committed to all safety and hygiene issues.

The establishments with the "Safe Gastein Partner" seal of quality undertake to carry out daily fever measurements and thorough health checks on their employees. In addition, employees receive detailed information on prevention and hygiene measures as well as on the correct behaviour in the event of COVID 19 symptoms or infections. This also includes special measures in the area of hygiene. For example, surfaces are regularly disinfected with care. In the hospitality and hotel industry, weekly PCR testing of all employees is also performed. Guests are registered at check-in to ensure complete follow-up in the event of a positive test.

Safety precautions for guests of the thermal baths and ski slopes

Contact tracing is also carried out in the thermal spas in Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein. Furthermore, there is an automatic fever screening in the entrance hall and also a limitation of the number of visitors in general, as well as per pool and sauna chamber is paid attention to. The constant wearing of a mouth and nose protection in the entrance area is a must.
