Elegant landmark

The story of the Sina Bernini Bristol began about 140 years ago. At first it was known only as "The Bristol," in honor of the first Baronet of Bristol, a Protestant bishop. A little later came the epithet "Bernini," paying tribute to the world-famous baroque artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who created the Triton Fountain directly in front of the Roman hotel.

But the hotel became famous rather because it was the first hotel of the Renaissance to install a hydraulic lift. This masterpiece, powered by an underground spring, was an attraction that everyone wanted to see. Soon the Emperor of Brazil, German and Greek heirs to the throne, the Princess of Montenegro, Queen Elizabeth II., Lady Diana, the Rockefellers, the Onassises and the Vanderbilts all came to stay at the hotel.

tradition meets modernity

Now the traditional hotel in the heart of Rome has been extensively renovated. The interior shines in new splendor. Nevertheless, the hotel’s roots stay in tact. For the interior shows inspiration from the Baroque and the famous fountain. All 166 rooms welcome guests with refined details and elegance. Rich colors and bronze accents set the tone.
