What's great about the new Air France Business Class?

From September 2022, the new Business Class will start on Air France flights with the Boeing 777-300ER.

Seats with sliding doors - we've already seen this. For example, in the QSuite at Qatar Airways. Guests love the concept. No wonder, since it promises even more peace and privacy. More and more airlines are now embracing the trend. The new Business Class on Air France can also be booked on flights of the 12 Boeing 777-300ERs from September. What else is new:

The seating arrangement in a 1-2-1 pattern diagonally to the window is already familiar; what is new is the seat itself. Because this could hardly be nobler. Made of brushed aluminium and fitted with wool and full-grain French leather, they have the "full flat" option. This means that the seat can be completely flattened and transformed into a bed almost two meters long. All Business Class passengers have direct aisle access.

A partition can be raised between the two seats in the middle if desired. This is already standard in business class everywhere. Now the last 12 Air France aircraft are also being converted to the new Business Class. Each seat now also has the aforementioned lockable sliding door.

The conversion process is scheduled for completion in September. The cabins will then be decorated in the French national colours: blue, white and red. At the seats, passengers will find a 4K high-definition screen with a diameter of 44 centimetres. The entertainment system can be connected to the passenger's own Bluetooth headphones. Several ports and sockets are available for comfortable use.

In addition to the 48 business class seats, the aircraft will have 48 new premium economy class seats with more space and 273 economy seats. The first aircraft to try out the new Business Class on Air France is the Fontainebleau. It will be flying between Paris Charles de Gaulle and New York (JFK) from fall.
