The further away, the better? Not always true, but in this case we can only say: These Long-haul destinations are definitely worth the slightly longer journey and invite you to relax while the ones at home have to freeze.

The Seychelles

Autumn in the Seychelles is characterised by beautiful weather and pleasant temperatures between 24°C and 30°C. The southeast trade wind is weakened and it is fortunately windless again. The journey normally takes between nine and 14 hours. Holidaymakers are rewarded with fantastic sandy beaches, turquoise-blue water and the best bathing weather. So what are you waiting for?

California

Whether you want to visit the Mojave Desert in Death Valley or escape the autumnal gloom at the beach: California can serve you with everything! The best time to travel here is from April to October. If you can't stand hot temperatures, you should avoid July and August, as the temperatures can climb quite a bit. In autumn, however, temperatures are usually between 10 and 26 degrees - perfect for enjoying the Golden State.

Dubai

With a flight time of just five hours, Dubai is very quick and easy to reach from Europe. What awaits you here? 35 degrees and bright sunshine. If that's still too hot for you, you can escape to one of the many luxurious shopping malls and stock up on chic clothes for next summer. Should you still be drawn to the water: 30 ° does not really provide cooling, but feels like a bathtub.

Namibia

Fancy a safari, lions up close and endless savannah? Then pack your bags, get on the plane and off you go to Namibia. Temperatures between 15 and 29 degrees make autumn a particularly attractive time to travel. Particularly impressive: during the summer months many of the waterholes dry up. The wildlife therefore gathers from September onwards at the few pools that still offer enough water to drink. The probability of experiencing a great diversity of species on site is therefore particularly high in autumn.

Bonaire

Bonaire, a so-called special municipality of the Netherlands, is located off the coast of Venezuela in the southern Caribbean and is the perfect long-haul destination in autumn. Even if individual showers can occur from October, the climate is pleasant with up to 33 degrees and invites you to discover the island. The neighbouring islands of Aruba and Curacao are also worth a trip in autumn.
