1

Saint Emilion, France

Nestled among the vineyards and just minutes from Bordeaux, Saint Emilion is not only a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but also one of the most romantic places on earth. Over a glass of delicious red wine or a stroll through the picturesque village with its winding alleyways, couples will get their money's worth here. Panorama lovers should not miss a visit to the famous tower of the king (roy). The place is considered to have a very mild climate, which makes it attractive for couples all year round. Gourmet couples can enjoy a Grand Cru Classé or delicious macaroons, which have been made by hand since 1620.

Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

The very famous Bolivian salt desert, also called "Salar de Uyuni" is with more than 10,000 square kilometers the largest "salt pan" on earth. The salt crust was formed over 10,000 years ago by the drying up of the paleo lake Tauca. Although you'll need to dress warmly when traveling to Bolivia's salt flats, as it has a frosty climate at over 3,000 meters, you can snuggle up in warm, fluffy blankets at local hotels. - A romantic experience of a different kind. The salt desert does not only look breathtaking on the photos, it is also breathtaking. A unique wonder of nature, it is visited and marvelled at by adventure couples the world over. The Hotel de Sal Luna Salada is built almost entirely of salt blocks. The rooms offer views of the Uyuni Salt Mine. Couples will appreciate the location for a stay for 2.

Bonifacio, Corsica

An overwhelming atmosphere comes over you as soon as you discover Bonifacio from the sea. - Bonifacio is the southernmost town in Corsica and can be easily reached by boat from Sardinia. This Corsican village is a picturesque medieval fishing village. It was built on a kind of limestone promontory that stretches into the Mediterranean Sea. Bonifacio not only offers stunning flora and fauna, but is almost perfect for any romantic getaway. For two, the village is ideal to explore on foot. Sights such as the stairs of King Aragon "les escaliers du roy d'aragon" are a must when visiting the southern tip of Corsica. For a romantic dinner in the evening, I recommend one of the selected restaurants at the harbour, where you can enjoy a wild-caught fish or seafood for two, right on the dreamy promenade.

Sylt, Germany

Sylt is not only one of the most popular holiday destinations for Germans, but also romantic in its own way. It was built around 1908 and originally consisted of two rooms with timber cladding and a slate roof. Over the years, the Invergarry was rebuilt in the 1980s and clad in artificial stone.
