Austrian Beauty: Beauty labels from every federal state

Come with us on a beauty journey across Austria.

11 December 2020

Sometimes a bit of patriotism is allowed, especially when it comes to the production of green cosmetics. Every federal state has a lot to offer - would you have known that?

Here you will find a selection of the finest beauty products from every corner of Austria. Perfect for a spa day at home.

Susanne Kaufmann, Vorarlberg

We all know the clean packaging, but did you know that Susanne Kaufmann's products come from Austria? More precisely, from the Bregenzerwald, where the entrepreneur began many years ago to reinterpret the positive effect of alpine plants on the body. She achieved this feat together with pharmacists and dermatologists, and since then the line has comprised more than 60 products and is internationally renowned.

A relaxing spa day at home? The spa set from Susanne Kaufmann leaves nothing to be desired.

Alpienne, Tyrol

Centuries-old knowledge about the healing power of herbs forms the basis for the Alpienne label. Production is resource-conserving and sustainable - and that too with raw materials from the picturesque Kaunergrat Nature Park in Tyrol. The result can be seen and smelled: Aromas such as Swiss stone pine, incense or arnica provide a feeling like a holiday in
the mountains - what more could you want?

Alpienne's regenerating cleansing milk has a calming effect and makes the skin feel pleasant.

Be (...) my Friend, Salzburg

Small, vegan and probably the insider tip par excellence when it comes to Salzburg cosmetics: The brand Be (...) my Friend focuses on skin care and a sustainable approach to the environment. The products are produced in Austria and the packaging is recyclable and refillable. The highlight: Many of the products have several uses at the same time.
Soap also shower gel and the body lotion also a hand cream.

The rich all-round cream from Be (...) my Friend is perfect for the face and the whole body.

Ca & Le, Carinthia

For years Erhard Lengfeldner worked for large cosmetics companies, until one day he decided to do his own thing. The result was Ca & Le with its cosmetic products without chemical preservatives, mineral oils and emulsifiers, which provide solutions for every skin type. They are available in selected spas and pharmacies.

Simply switch off and pamper your body: The body scrub made of rock crystals from Ca & Le makes it possible.

Ringana, Styria

The secret of the Hartberg label? That no artificial preservatives are involved in any of the products! When founder Andreas Wilfinger started mixing products with a kitchen blender in 1996, he probably wouldn't have thought that he was laying the foundation for fresh cosmetics. The mixer has since been replaced by a laboratory, but the unique recipes and the Styrian production site have remained.

Ringana products are also available in feel-good sets. From a freshening spray to a tooth oil, everything is included.

Krismar, Burgenland

Whether deodorants, ointments or soaps: The two founders of the Krismar beauty brand have set out to bring the treasures of nature closer to their customers. The natural cosmetics factory in Burgenland's Seewinkel region is a perfect example of this.

The deodorant cream with essential oils and sage from Krismar allows the skin to breathe.

Lederhaas, Vienna

What happens when you mix ecology, economy, social issues and aesthetics? Or in other words
asked: Mixing natural plant ingredients with natural essential oils and filling the whole thing into a noble packaging? Exactly, then the Viennese label Lederhaas comes into play. Whether perfumes, soaps or skincare, the creations are handmade in the Viennese laboratory.

The pretty Soap-Bar from Lederhaas can be used for the face or the whole body.

Rivelles, Lower Austria

Why go far when the good stuff is so close? The Rivelles brand uses local plants such as rosehip, apricot or broccoli to conjure up face, hair and body care products. Everything is produced and packaged in an eco-friendly way in the Vienna Woods. Especially cute: The children's shampoos of the line can even be personalized.

Rivelles oat facial oil is ideal for skin fatigue.

Bioemsan, Austria

Certified organic cosmetics paired with herbs and effective microorganisms: The Upper Austrian family business came from agriculture to cosmetics and is now known for high quality and a lot of creativity. The range extends from toothpastes to shampoos to body care and often contains additional ingredients such as Manju sea salt or ceramic powder. Unquestionably unique!

Smooth and nourished lips are possible with the application of Bioemsam lip balm.
