Who just came from Wanderlust and misses the warm rays of the sun on your skin, you'd best take a look at the following five places that are perfect for sun worshippers of all kinds. And who knows, maybe you'll find some inspiration for your next holiday in them.

1. Yuma, Arizona

There is probably only one place in the world where the sun really shines every day of the year: Yuma. The city in the US state of Arizona boasts ten to eleven hours of sunshine a day, making it the perfect place for sun worshippers. However, you should bear in mind that temperatures in the state, which is also home to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley, can sometimes reach 40 degrees. So you should definitely be heat-resistant if you want to visit the sunniest place in the world.

2. Calama, Chile

The sun also shines frequently in South America. It shows itself particularly often in the city of Calama, which is located in the north of Chile. The town, which is home to around 160,000 people, stretches out in the middle of the Atacama Desert. Residents and visitors are treated to around 3,900 hours of sunshine per year. Although Calama is not a typical tourist town, a visit to the imposing and historically rich city is worthwhile. Copper mine ...all the time.

3. aswan, egypt

Among holidaymakers, Aswan, the southernmost major city of Egypt, is already rather known. Beautiful river landscapes, imposing Nile islands and golden dunes of the Sahara meander through the impressive natural landscape. The mild and dry weather, makes the place not only a great destination for sun worshippers, but also for those who love the heat. By the way, the average amount of precipitation there is 0 millimeters. In addition, there are an incredible 3,868 hours of sunshine per year.

4. Rhodes, Greece

In a ranking of the sunniest places in the world, Greece should not be missing. Rhodes in particular attracts countless holidaymakers every year who want to visit endless white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and historical sites. The weather also plays along in most cases; because with about 3000 hours of sunshine per year, which are distributed over about 300 sunny days, it is definitely possible to stay long on the largest of the Greek Dodecanese island.

5. madagascar

If you want to enjoy sunshine all year round, it's best to spend your winter in Madagascar. Because there it has then around 25 degrees. The island off the southeast coast of Africa is still largely untouched and convinces with about 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. In addition, there is a lot to discover on the dream island in the Indian Ocean - such as exotic animals and a fascinating natural landscape.
