The pool at the legendary Bristol Hotel in Paris is considered a tribute to a very special event. It was designed by Professor Pinau, the architect of Aristotle Onassis' yacht. In the summer of 1964, Rudolf August and Maja Oetker discovered the Hôtel du Cap on the cliffs of the Cap d'Antibes during a sailing trip in the Mediterranean. Five years later, they bought what is now the sister property of Le Bristol and named it the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc. A mural at the head of the pool commemorates this unforgettable scene.
