Autumn is the time to shift down a gear. The best way to do this is with a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle. You can find the best destinations here.

When the days become shorter and more and more uncomfortable, it's time for a time out. These three destinations are therefore just right for the next relaxing holiday.

Recreation in Hungary

In Hungary, wellness and relaxation have a long tradition. Thermal baths and exceptional spa facilities make the country a stronghold in terms of recreation and are in no way inferior to facilities in Germany or Italy. In total, visitors can choose from 35 recognised spas, which are fed by around 130 therapeutic thermal water springs. Probably one of the most famous wellness temples is the Széchenyi spa, which is always worth a visit thanks to its stunning outdoor area.

Hiking in the Black Forest

The Black Forest is located in the south of Germany directly on the border with France. The dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages invite you to spend hours walking and hiking in the great outdoors. Perfect, then, for unwinding and recharging your batteries. Something you can't miss on a visit to the Black Forest: fresh cheese spaetzle and a slice of Black Forest gateau to round it off.

Relaxing on La Gomera

In autumn, the second smallest of the seven Canary Islands is, thanks to its mild climate, also a top destination to spend a few quiet days. Pristine natural beaches and small fishing villages invite you to linger and ensure that you can forget the problems of everyday life in no time. The landscape on the island is also impressive and provides breathtaking gorges, the so-called "Barrancos", for wow moments.
