Hidden thermal pleasure in Austria

Here you can relax without the hustle and bustle.

14 December 2020

Wintertime is Spa Time. This idea probably sits in the minds of most people and so it also comes that it is not always easy (away from the pandemic) to come to rest in a crowded thermal spa. However, as we are blessed with a large number of thermal baths in Austria, there are also one or two insider tips that you can try out to relax without the hustle and bustle.

Here you will find four thermal baths where you can enjoy your privacy and relax at the same time.

1

Larimar Hotel in Stegersbach

If you want to treat yourself to a little time out with exclusive wellness offers and a luxurious spa area, the best place to visit is the Therme Hotel Larimar. The soothing thermal water ensures relaxation at the highest level, the alkaline seawater has a healing effect and the exquisite sauna area makes you forget all stress. The special thing about the spa is its location, which makes for an extraordinary atmosphere. In the middle of the hilly southern Burgenland, the spa and hotel area extends over an area of around 6,500 square metres. In addition to conventional treatments, the spa area also offers alternative forms of treatment from all over the world.

The pleasant thermal water in the indoor and outdoor area invites you to recharge your batteries. Authentic seawater feeling can be found in the alkaline seawater outdoor pool with 0.9 % salt content, a bubble bench and a counter-current system. And the new, 20-metre-long infinity sports pool (28 °C) with fresh water is also ideal for relaxing or extensive swimming. Those who want to relax in peace and quiet will find relaxation in the inviting relaxation rooms with cuddly nests, water beds and private cuddly bunks.

The soothing thermal water arrives directly from the depths of the Hohe Tauern in the middle of the pools. Those who want to swim extensively are just as right in Bad Hofgastein as someone who simply wants to enjoy nature and the atmosphere of the Alps on the bubble loungers. By the way, the Gastein thermal water contains the natural noble gas radon, which has a regenerating effect on the body.

In the spa area, guests can reward themselves with exclusive facial treatments and soothing massages. Another highlight is the spa sauna village with its own coloured light sauna, which is sure to amaze. A visit to the brine grotto, the cold mountain or the hot thermal lake round off a stay at the Alpentherme. And in between, guests can also enjoy a drink or two in the Ice Cube Bar, which offers a brilliant panoramic view.
