On July 20, 2020, the Hideaway FORESTIS opened at 1,800 meters above sea level in Palmschoß on the Plose above Brixen. Surrounded by a dense mountain forest with a view of the mountain massifs of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites and adjacent to the Puez-Odle Nature Park, a historic building built in 1912 by architect Otto Wagner has been joined here by three sculptural suite towers in different heights, modeled on the shape of tree trunks. The Hideaway FORESTIS has 13 suites and 3 rooms in the historic house and 44 tower suites and 2 penthouse suites in the three towers. All suites and rooms are south facing. On the terraces of the Tower Suites day beds can be transformed into beds for a night under the starry sky of South Tyrol. The FORESTIS was built sustainably using local materials.
Roland Lamprecht's natural cuisine inspires the guests of the FORESTIS with organic products from the surrounding farms and their creative preparation in the modern kitchen. The FORESTIS kitchen philosophy follows the premises of diversity, naturalness and authenticity. The restaurant is arranged in steps. Thus, each table offers the desired privacy and at the same time a wide view over the surrounding woods via the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The FORESTIS Spa extends over an area of 2,000m² below the three towers on two floors with a view of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites. On the ground floor level is the reception and a 20 x 4.3 metres indoor pool, which is connected to a 22 x 5 metres outdoor pool. There is also a brine steam bath (65°C), a Finnish sauna (85°C), a bio sauna (70°C), a textile sauna (Finnish sauna with 45°C) and an outdoor sauna (Finnish sauna with 90°C) in a traditional South Tyrolean wooden house. The Silent Room, with a fireplace in the middle, lives up to its name - this is where guests are meant to enjoy the silence after their sauna session. The Tea Lounge with library is the second retreat. Eight tea blends from South Tyrol and light snacks are served. On the first floor of the spa area are the four treatment rooms, a "private spa" for couples' treatments and two beauty rooms, as well as relaxation rooms. In addition, the hotel offers the state of the art Technogym and yoga. The Celts who settled in this area were already very close to nature and drew their knowledge about the human body from the teachings of nature. The FORESTIS treatments all follow the principle of the four native trees: mountain pine, spruce, larch and Swiss stone pine. Each of these trees contains different active ingredients, frequencies and material substances that allow the human body to regenerate deeply. The treatments for face and body are based on the FORESTIS tree circle developed by the FORESTIS spa team. The guest chooses the type of tree that suits his or her own current constitution. The sound frequencies of the respective tree generate vibrations which, in combination with healing woods and stones, release blockages and create harmony and physical activation.
