Why Cyprus is One of the Summer Hotspots 2023

Chosen by the gods, the Mediterranean island is one of the most romantic destinations in Europe - it beguiles visitors with 10,000 years of history.

Cyprus: ancient monuments, picture-perfect villages, imposing mountains and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. What better place to combine a sunny break with a good dose of education this summer? There's more than enough to learn and discover on the island of the gods.
As the birthplace of Aphrodite, Cyprus is also the perfect destination for romantic days for two. Boat trips, candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach as the sun sets, dipping the sky and sea in shades of pink - classic romance is even more beautiful when the goddess of love has her fingers in the pie.

Of course, a visit to the rock where Aphrodite rose from the sea, according to legend, should not be missed on any trip to Cyprus. The royal tombs of Nea Paphos are also an absolute must-see. The extensive site offers spectacular insights into history and is not for nothing an UNESCO World Heritage Site. In ancient Kourion, a city-state from the Iron Age, mythology is further explored: here, among other things, the gladiator house, the house of Achilles and a Greco-Roman theater amaze visitors. The perfect balance to the moving impressions that one gathers on practically every corner in Cyprus can be found not only on the great beaches, but also in the charming towns and villages that provide variety with Cypriot cuisine and vibrant nightlife.
