The fabulous Amanyara resort on the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands is the ideal location to enjoy outdoor and water-based sports. Amanyara’s exclusive Legends program helps guests learn and improve their skills in clinics held by award-winning professional athletes such as tennis icon Maria Sharapova, NBA All-Star Kevin Love and surfing champion Candice Appleby. This summer, NFL superstars Vonn Bell (safety for the Carolina Panthers) and Cameron Sutton (cornerback for the Detroit Lions) will be joining the teaching staff. Football players are not the only ones to benefit from these courses, as the proceeds go to a non-profit on the island that provides extracurricular activities for children.

Who better to teach a sport than the top professionals in their particular field? The Verdura Resort in Sicily will be running courses taught by some of the world’s leading athletes. In June, the English professional golfer Henni Koyack, the youngest player ever to take part in the Ladies European Tour as an amateur, teed off with guests from the hotel. Fortunately, the Verdura Resort is one of Europe’s top destinations for golfers. The courses were redesigned in 2021, with the east course as a par 73 and the west course as a par 70. In July, Gianluca Zambrotta, Juventus legend and member of the 2006 World Cup-winning side, will make a guest appearance on the hotel’s soccer field. Also in July, Italian diver Tania Cagnotto, world champion, two-time Olympic medalist and 20-time European champion, will be the guest instructor at the hotel’s 60-meter infinity pool. Impressive!
