It is probably the opening of the year in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Because here, more precisely: in Leogang, those seeking peace and quiet will now find an extraordinary new spa. We are talking about ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof, designed by internationally renowned architect Hadi Teherani. The grand opening party was attended by celebrities from the worlds of business, art and culture.

Avant-garde since 1956

Once a modest farm, the Altenberger family has turned the Krallerhof into one of Austria's leading 5-star establishments. Also the fourth generation, which is now at the helm, steers it with a sure hand towards the future. Its pioneer role is justified it with the new Spa ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof once more. The annex is already an architectural icon.

Following the holistic approach, everything here is in flux. Even the transition between indoors and outdoors. During the cool seasons, you enjoy nature through floor-to-ceiling glass fronts. In summer, these sink into the ground. Then the guests are one with the surroundings.

The harmonious design of the spa blends almost seamlessly into the Salzburg landscape. This is ensured by organic shapes, the purism of the building and the materials used. Exposed concrete, wood and glass, for example, were used. The result is a special sphere of relaxation. And it is unique in this form in all of Europe. Of course, architectural excellence is not all that ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof has to offer.

Relaxation at the highest level

Nestled on the slopes of the Asitz, the Krallerhof's local mountain, the new world of regeneration, relaxation and renewal pampers its guests at the highest level. A place of inner peace and new perspectives, ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof offers, among other things, a 5,500-square-meter natural swimming lake, a 50-meter infinity pool and numerous personalized wellness experiences.

As soon as you step from the Krallerhof into ATMOSPHERE, the special character of the new building reveals itself. From the spiral atrium to the alpine Zen garden and the stylish relaxation areas, everything is designed to provide guests with moments for eternity. In the new area, adults relax completely among themselves. For families and children, the previous spa and a separate part of the natural swimming lake are available.

In harmony with nature

This is also ensured by the Blue Grotto, the infra-salt room, the sea view saunas, ice grotto, sun deck and, of course, the infinity pool, which is integrated into the natural bathing lake. For star architect Hadi Teherani, ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof was deliberately designed as a "Design created subordinate to nature, but still present". Including nature and the landscape in the design was a matter of course for Teherani from the very beginning.

Gerhard Altenberger, Krallerhof managing director explains his idea: "The everyday life of modern man is overflowing with sensory impressions of all kinds. The sense of space, the generosity and the organic design language of the architecture allow energies to flow and thus benefit relaxation and regeneration."

Also the approximately 170 invited VIP guests from economy, art and culture were enthusiastic about the new ATMOSPHERE by Krallerhof. Among them were star architect Hadi Teherani, presenter and model Sylvie Meis and entrepreneur and art collector Ramin Salsali. Actress Jessica Stockmann and entrepreneur Jochen Schweizer were also welcomed, along with many other familiar faces.
