Immerse yourself in the Menorcan way of life with the luxury hotel

With its 128 spacious rooms and suites, this Spanish Barceló Hotel Group property appeals primarily to families and groups of friends. Privacy is offered by the 45 rooms, which have direct access to semi-private pools. Guests share these with only one adjoining room. Holidaymakers can also enjoy the Mediterranean climate of Menorca from three further pools and the sun terrace.

Throughout the hotel, the island's nature and culture are reflected: the architecture picks up on traditional construction methods of the region and blends into the surrounding landscape. Local materials such as natural stone and wood characterize the avant-garde design. The colour scheme heavily relies on light, natural tones. The element of water plays a central role, which the architecture cleverly incorporates into the building's furnishings. In addition, all rooms are decorated with minimalist handmade ceramic pieces from local artists.

Culinary highlights and a focus on sustainability

Gourmets can sample the flavours of the Balearics with typical Menorcan dishes in the hotel's two restaurants, including the à la carte Sa Tanca with show cooking. The B-Heaven terrace, a rooftop bar overlooking the sea, is also considered a highlight. The Barceló Nura in Biniancollet will continue to welcome guests until 20 October 2021.

The Barceló Nura has already dedicated its hotel name to the island's history. Nura, the word for fire from the time of the Phoenicians, was the first surviving name for what is now Menorca. In addition to the past, the hotel is also aware of the future. For this reason, sustainability is a priority and the hotel uses solar energy, regenerated water and low-consumption lighting, among other things. The island itself has been a biosphere reserve since 1993 and has some of the best-preserved habitats in the Mediterranean.
