Qantas has been sending its birds of steel into the air for 100 years. This makes it the oldest continuously operating airline in the world. According to AirlineRatings.com, it's currently the most experienced and safest airline in the world, thanks to numerous innovations in safety and operations.

AirlineRatings.com: These are the criteria

The Airline Ratings were launched in June 2013. They rate the total of 385 airlines using a seven-star rating system. Among the criteria are the number of crashes in the last five years, serious incidents in the last two years or audits by the global aviation association ICAO and the leading association IATA. The age of fleets and the quality of pilot training also play a role. Since 2020, airlines have also been tapped for their COVID protocols.
