26 November 2021

Curaçao is located in the southern Caribbean and is one of the four countries that make up the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Here, travellers can enjoy a unique experience with over 40 idyllic bathing bays and average temperatures of around 28 degrees Celsius. The adventurous island offers many experiences, including a fascinating underwater world, small fishing villages, secluded bays in a picturesque atmosphere and UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the colourful houses of the vibrant island capital Willemstad. From April 2022, the island will boast another highlight: for the first time, the brand new, exclusive Sandals Royal Curaçao will welcome its guests for a paradisiacal holiday at the Spanish Water Bay.

Spectacular restaurants, infinity pool and seaside bungalows

There is something magical about sunsets. The west-facing hotel allows for breathtaking hours each evening as the sky turns every shade of red imaginable. Sandals Royal Curaçao offers many excellent all-inclusive options with a choice of 351 luxurious rooms and suites in 24 room categories. A private pool and butler service are not the exception. Another impressive new addition is the hotel chain's first "Dos Awa Infinity Pool" overlooking the sea and mountain scenery, as well as "The Duchess", Sandals' first floating restaurant and bar built from a 28-metre authentic Dutch ship. Guests can end the day with dinner at one of the nine 5-star global gourmet restaurants.

Must-see destinations on Curaçao

Guests staying in the exclusive bungalows can explore the colourful Caribbean island for free with the hotel's own Mini Coopers. A trip to the island's capital Willemstad, 12km away, is a must, as the harbour front and the districts of Punda, Otrobanda, Pietermaai and Scharloo are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In Otrobanda, you can still admire the characteristic town villas and country houses with the typical Dutch staircase and bell gables. Another landmark of "Little Holland" is the historic city harbour with its floating markets.
