Stockholm and Malmö will soon be richer by three exclusive JDV hotels.

1 January 2021

Big news from the house Hyatt! Hyatt Hotels Corporation will soon be represented by three hotels of Story Hotels Holding AB in Sweden. The exclusive hotels will be managed under the JDV brand, making them the first of their kind in Europe.

These are the three existing Story Hotels in Sweden, which are to retain their name and individual character:

  • Story Hotel Riddargatan Stockholm
  • Story Hotel Signalfabriken Stockholm
  • Story Hotel Studio Malmö

Beginning April 15, 2021, properties will be bookable through Hyatt's booking channels, and World of Hyatt members will be able to earn and redeem points.

Design focus meets local roots

"We are thrilled to add these three story hotels in Europe to Hyatt's JDV brand portfolio while expanding Hyatt's presence in Sweden," said Briana Swift, director of development Europe and Southwest Asia at Hyatt. "We are focused on thoughtful growth in locations that meet the needs of our guests. The addition of three story hotels to our portfolio helps us drive expansion in key markets like Scandinavia, working with owners who want to preserve the individual identity of each of their properties. With their design focus and strong local roots, the three Story Hotels are an ideal fit for our Independent Collection in Europe."

In the heart of the city

The Story Hotels Riddargatan, Signalfabriken and Studio Malmö are ideally located in the heart of their respective cities and reflect the lifestyle of their neighbourhoods. With modern, Scandinavian design, the hotels offer everything your heart desires - for business and leisure travellers.

"It was clear early on that Hyatt and Story Hotels have a very similar vision of modern and upscale facilities," says Staffan Åkerlind, CEO Story Hotels. "We are excited to launch the JDV brand in Europe and Scandinavia and are proud to partner with such an experienced international company as Hyatt. Hyatt's extensive expertise will enable us to provide excellent service to our guests. In addition, we benefit from the company's global scale and distribution platform."

All three hotels feature individually designed rooms, dynamic public areas and a gastronomic offering that is popular with international visitors and locals alike. The size of the boutique hotels reflects their urban location and each property offers, for example, free access to local gyms for its guests.
