Palazzo Fiuggi: New opening of the Wellness Medical Retreat in May

Luxury cures with Italian flair.

April 6, 2021

On a hilltop in a private 8-hectare park, the Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Retreat will open in May 2021 in one of the most historic hotels in Italy. Behind the project, with the ambition of becoming one of the world's best medical spas, is Lorenzo Giannuzzi, CEO of the prestigious Forte Village in Sardinia, and his team.

The Retreat sets itself the goal of pampering its guests at the highest level.

Regeneration & Rejuvenation

The town of Fiuggi has been known since the early 14th century for its spring water and its positive, healing effect on the human immune system. Right there, just 50 minutes from Rome, 700 meters above sea level, Palazzo Fiuggi's guests can expect not only the healing waters but also particularly clean, oxygen-rich air - the ideal starting point for regeneration and rejuvenation, the two main concerns of the Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Retreat.

The historic hotel has been lovingly converted into a luxury retreat.

The Palazzo - interplay of tradition and modernity

Palazzo Fiuggi is one of the most historic hotels in Italy, founded in 1913, since June 2020 the resort has been in the process of extensive renovation. The hotel has 102 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites. The former conference center transformed into the new 6,000 m2 large and state-of-the-art spa area. The retreat is home to 42 treatment rooms, hydro-therapies in the thalasso pools, hydro-circuit, three other pools, hammam, as well as a state-of-the-art gym with Technogym, Reaxing, Icaros as well as Pilates equipment. In addition, there is also a research laboratory specifically associated with Fiuggi water and regenerative medicine related to healing water.

Even recognizable in the gym: the interplay of tradition and modernity.

The successful architectural fusion of the historical style of the palace and, on the other hand, the new renovation and the ultra-modern medical and wellness area, reflect the spa concept of the house. Here, too, the team focuses on the interplay of tradition and modernity.

The Palazzo Fiuggi concept

Fusing the oldest holistic approaches with the most advanced traditional Western medicine, the 360-degree integrative approach elevates therapy beyond treating symptoms - the goal is to holistically embrace body, mind and spirit. Lorenzo Giannuzzi, CEO of Forte Village in Sardinia and founder of Palazzo Fiuggi Wellness Medical Retreat introduces his approach to health, well-being and longevity: "Palazzo Fiuggi and the medical concept I have developed with an international team of experts are the result of years of research and experience. The aim is to fully restore the health and well-being of our guests by strengthening the immune system and the cellular regeneration of body and mind. At Palazzo Fiuggi, our guests will find the right place to do a reset and live a longer life that is also better lived."

The wellness area of over 6,000 m2 allows the guests of the Palazzo to relax in a holistic way.

Lorenzo Giannuzzi was already General Manager of the former Palazzo Hotel from 1988 to 1992 and already sensed the extraordinary potential of the property as a wellness retreat at that time. The opening of the Palazzo Fiuggi is now the completion of his former vision.

The programs

The five carefully crafted programs have a 360-degree approach, each supported by a selection of à la carte treatments. These are individually selected for each guest by an international team of renowned scientists and doctors, including German-speaking experts, through diagnostic assessments and consultations. The Medical Wellness Retreat has some of the most advanced technology available, including MRI and infrared technology, retinal scanning and other diagnostic tests.

  • The "Complete Life Rewind" program is designed to fundamentally cleanse the body, mind and spirit and regenerate the cells.
  • The "Immune Boost" program aims to strengthen the immune system.
  • The "Optimal Weight" program helps guests to make lasting changes to their lifestyle and achieve a healthy ideal weight.
  • The "Deep Detox" program reduces toxins and heavy metals in the body and aims for a long-lasting detoxification effect.
  • The "Mindful Movement" program helps body and mind to regenerate through an individual movement concept.
Guests can choose between five different programs, but they all have one thing in common: Exclusivity and healing.

Each program can be booked for seven or fourteen days. In addition, there is a four-day "Get Fit" program that guests can book as an introductory experience.
Fiuggi's powerful water is an integral part of every programme offered. All wellness programmes are also accompanied by a personalised nutrition plan.
