Wellness world champion: 5 star Spa Hotel Jagdhof

Two travel industry "Oscars" for the luxury spa hideaway in the Stubai Valley

November 12, 2020

Now it's official: better and more romantic spa luxury than at the 5-star SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof in the Stubaital is not possible. This has now been officially confirmed at the World Luxury Spa Award 2020: The World Luxury Hotel, Spa & Restaurant Awards are considered the Oscars of the travel industry. The prestigious Award Gala 2020 planned for Mauritius had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. But the winners have now been notified in a personal video message. At the 5-star Spa Hotel Jagdhof, in Neustift in the Stubaital, Austria, the joy is huge, because two of the prestigious awards went to the luxury hideaway in Tyrol: the 5-star SPA HOTEL Jagdhof in the Stubaital received the award for World's Best Luxury Wellness Hotel at the World Luxury Hotel & Spa Awards 2020 and - for the second time in a row - for Europe's Best Luxury Romantic Destination Spa. The prestigious awards recognise the best travel, spa, gourmet & health destinations worldwide. Tyrol's quality tourism was able to score in the top field: at the top the 5-star SPA HOTEL Jagdhof in the Stubaital, Austria! The World Luxury Spa Awards were launched in 2010 and are the pinnacle of the luxury spa industry. They offer international recognition awarded by guests, travellers and industry players alike. Over 250,000 international travellers vote each year. Jagdhof CEO Armin Pfurtscheller emphasises: "The joy about these two awards is incredibly great - especially in these times, the appreciation of our services is particularly valuable and motivating. The guest, his wishes and needs have always been our focus. Fulfilling them with the right infrastructure, the tailor-made offer and, above all, the best service is our goal and our heart's desire. We continue on this path with all consistency and with the greatest pleasure."

Award winning spa offer

Around 450 spas took part in the 2020 vote. The 5-star Jagdhof SPA-HOTEL was chosen as the winner in the categories of world's best "Luxury Wellness Hotel" and best "Luxury Romantic Destination Spa" for Europe. No wonder - the Jagdhof's multi-award-winning wellness landscape - the jSPA - is one of Austria's best spas: covering 3,000 square metres, the wellness oasis includes the SPA-CHALET and the VITALWELT with over 20 different wellness offers. These include several saunas, steam and sweat baths, refreshing ice and water experiences as well as a SPA-Jung fountain with relaxing underwater music and hydrotherapy. In the jOYFUL Wellbeing area, guests enjoy spa and beauty treatments with active cosmetics from !QMS Medicosmetics and the natural cosmetics label REN Skincare, which celebrities such as Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Jude Law have been swearing by for years. A fitness area and the 5,000-square-metre natural garden round off the offer.

Pure romance Relax pleasure in the SPA-CHALET

With 700 square metres, the SPA-CHALET offers cocooning areas for complete relaxation and unique views of the Stubai Glacier. For the unique chalet-style ambience, only selected sun-burnt old wood from Tyrolean wooden barns and farmhouses, quartzite stone and hand-modelled plaster were used. Indirect lighting, textile furnishings and exposed roof chairs create a cosy atmosphere, complemented by the soothing scent of local woods. Spread over two levels, the chalet has three themed relaxation areas: the "ruez one" impresses with haystacks filled with Stubai mountain herbs, various resting and floating loungers, family relax lounger and Physiotherm infrared loungers, the "library" with fireplace, single and double loungers inside and two balconies with loungers outside and the "Panorama Relax" with mobile beanbags and large loungers for up to eight people. A panoramic seating area, recliners, muted music and a tea and water bar complete the lower level.

Wellness moments in the Private Spa Suite

The highlight of the SPA-CHALET is the Private Spa Suite (100 square metres). In the noble alpine ambience, guests enjoy absolute privacy and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Bookable for couple treatments or family time. Guests of the Spa Suite have access to their own Swiss pine sauna, which can be used as a Finnish sauna as well as a bio-steam sauna. In addition, the infinity duo pool with integrated coloured light therapy and body sound transducer sets the water and the body into light, relaxing vibrations. The large steam combination shower with fragrant steaming, music and light therapy completes the offer. Two double floating loungers with ergonomic wooden slats and the balcony with a view of the Stubai Glacier invite you to relax in complete tranquillity after spa treatments. But not only the spa is romantic, also the rooms and apartments - one even with "Herzl" bathtub - in Tyrolean country house style, the idyllic parlours with hood-crowned cuisine or the rustic fondue gondola, probably the smallest gourmet restaurant in Austria.
