With only 15 suites and three private chalets with their own sauna, absolute tranquility is guaranteed in a perfect luxury ambience at the Manna Resort. As an Adults-only five-star hotel, everything revolves around wellness and relaxation here. Pichler Architects has given this resort, which opened in 2021 at the foot of the Trudner Horn Nature Park, a nature-themed terraced landscape. In the exterior and interior, 20 types of exclusive natural stone from around the world were used: in the entrance area, the reception and staircase are made of Kuroca, a noble black quartzite with golden veins, the bar is made of Nero Port Laurent marble, and in the bathroom of the Lappland suite, the quartzite Verde Lapponia sets exciting accents. Each room is oriented to a country (such as Japan, France, Russia); Moretti Interiors provided the exclusive design. All roofs were designed as intensive green retention roofs and blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Highlights are the organic swimming pond and the medical spa.

Garberhof

Südtriol

This hotel has a view of the architectural history of the Vinschgau Valley and was modernized prudently and sensitively - with natural, regional building materials and a design language that creates references to the tradition of South Tyrol as well as to the Alps. This begins with a striking exterior façade and leads to a lot of light wood in the interior. Down-to-earth luxury is the concept of the family-run business, which relies on seasonal cuisine and wines from the region. The main actors are the imposing mountains, which can be seen perfectly from the pool and the organic natural bathing pond. Behind the hotel towers the main ridge of the Alps, to the west the Sesvenna, to the south the Ortler and the Vinschger mountains. Unusual for South Tyrol is the hamam, where mountains of foam transport you to a world from the Arabian Nights. It's the largest hotel hamam in Italy.

Villaverde

Different - that's how you could describe the VillaVerde in Algund near Merano in just one word. But that actually falls short, because the house is more home than hotel, it focuses on tranquility, free space, encounters, green luxury and seasonal and regional organic cuisine. Design fans are also delighted with the custom-made furniture, the numerous individual details and vintage pieces from all over the world. It's no wonder that it's hard to leave the place and its warm hosts Heidi, Judith, Paula and Lea.

Hotel Petrus

From the outdoor Jacuzzi to the whirlpool to the private infrared sauna, each of the rooms and suites in the Hotel Petrus at Kronplatz has its own individual character - because uniformity is out of the question for the hosts Brigitte, Christina and Daniela Aichner. It's neither boring in terms of room furnishings nor in terms of cuisine, because the kitchen is considered one of the centerpieces of the house. It's straightforward, regional, natural and honest, both in the à la carte restaurant of head chef Hannes Baumgartner and in the rest of the house; many ingredients come from the hotel's own large garden. Guests and food critics alike agree that the Hotel Petrus is the place to be for gourmets in South Tyrol. Something that's also very fine: the Dahoame Spa including pools, saunas and treatments.

Villa Arnica

Südtirol

The Dissertori family breathed new life into the villa, built in 1925, as an adults-only boutique hotel with just four rooms and six suites. Here, no two rooms are alike, but the unifying element is a select taste in design. Herringbone parquet and terrazzo, antiques and flea-market finds create a cohesive ambience surrounded by flowering gardens. The kitchen follows the farm-to-table principle, and guests relax by the pool or in the library.

Miramonti

Situated high above Merano at 1230 meters above sea level, the boutique hotel sees itself as a retreat for individualists. It's enthroned on porphyry stone, surrounded by forest and conveys absolute earthiness; the wonderful panorama, on the other hand, takes the senses to new heights. Luxury and modesty, innovation and modernity meet in the spa (including infinity pool, whirlpool, saunas and onsen), in the 44 rooms and in the three restaurants. The latter offer Italian classics as well as international dishes, created from the best ingredients. Special tip: trips on the panoramic routes of South Tyrol with the Alfa Romeo vintage car!

Schwarzschmied

Südtirol

Thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and rooms flooded with light, the interior of the Hotel Schwarzschmied looks like a stage. Its most important asset? The lush nature, which thus also finds its way inside. The public areas are more reminiscent of living rooms than hotel lobbies and the like, making guests in the 68 rooms and suites immediately feel at home. Christina Biasi-von Berg took care of the interior with a skillful hand; an exercise she also completed in the sister hotel Villa Arnica. The spa offers indoor and outdoor pools, filled with Grander water. Saunas and soothing treatments based on Susanne Kaufmann's natural cosmetics round out the offerings. Active guests can explore the surrounding area and take part in exercise activities such as yoga; when it comes to cuisine, the emphasis is on slow food and farm-to-table cuisine of the highest quality.

Discerning travelers who have been guests all over the world should definitely put this young boutique hotel from the Alber family with its 25 rooms and suites on their bucket list - because the nobility once strolled here, where cocktails are served today. The rooftop spa (including saunas, massages and a wellness pool) scores with its view, and the entire property with its extraordinary architecture. On the plates of the à la carte restaurant Puro, the young and casual fine dining cuisine convinces with its focus on alpine-Mediterranean flavors. Bolzano can be reached in twelve minutes by cable car.

Contemporary design in old walls: the luxury of reduction is celebrated in twelve exclusive suites. The rooms breathe history, are simple and spacious, yet luxurious. Historic wooden ceilings have been preserved in their original form, spruce wood, which is more than 100 years old, adorns the floor; the free-standing bathtub and private spa add luxury. The castle-like building dates to the 15th century, evidenced by frescoes, Gothic round arches, and original parlors. Only local materials were used in the 2022 renovation - for example, the sauna is made of South Tyrolean Swiss stone pine, the curtains are hand-woven, and the washbasins are made of Siusi basalt. On the plates comes local Soulful Food from the South Tyrolean Tomek Kinder. In the historic Defreggerstube one enjoys fine dining, in the Gerichtsstube you dine à la carte. In the wine cellar (the former dungeon!), which is six meters underground, over 800 labels can be found. In the village of Villanders you are at 880 meters above sea level, the Dolomites determine the panorama.
