The ice cream of the chain finds its origin in the Buckligen Welt in Lower Austria. The manufactory is not far from the origin of the ingredients and that is not without reason. Because if you can taste one thing out of the most diverse varieties, it is nature, fresh milk and high-quality ingredients. The milk has to be carried only a few meters across the farm, from the cowshed to to production, and also the fruit comes from the region. For special herbs and spices, Eis Greissler relies on the treasures of the SONNENTOR brand. Even though many varieties are based on milk, vegans do not miss out. Most fruit sorbets also manage without. Anyone who has the courage to try something new is in the right place here. In addition to the classic varieties, there are specials, such as a scoop of pumpkin seed oil ice cream or a scoop of buttered bread with honey.

Here they are not afraid to state: not everything is available all the time! Anything that is not of good quality will not make it into the Ferrari Gelato display case. Since every good fruit has its season and is available within it with the best flavor, the ice cream menu must also adapt. But it pays off! The couple Ferrari-Viscovich lives this standard and brings true Dolce Vita to Vienna. The associated café in Annagasse is also like a detour to the neighboring country of Italy. The deciding factor for this ambience, apart from the delicacies of the pasticceria, is above all the 100 percent Italian staff!

The two managing directors promise one thing with their ice cream parlors spread throughout Vienna: to usher in a new ice cream era. What that means exactly: all the sweet temptations that have made it onto the menu are vegan. Every creatively thought-out cold delicacy proves that this has to be anything but monotonous and boring. Whether on a crispy waffle, in a cup, or even better, between 2 cookies. Time-tested classics like chocolate and vanilla are joined by extravagant varieties like avocado coconut or orange olive oil saffron. It's safe to say there's something here for everyone - vegan or not! And that, without artificial additives, ready-made pastes, dyes and flavor enhancers.

Probably one of the classics among the Viennese ice cream stores and rightly so! The history of the ice cream parlor began back in 1952 with Kurt and Marianne Tichy in a small basement restaurant in Simmering. Only one ice cream machine, 5 ice cream flavors and a three-wheeled ice cream truck brought the success that has lasted until today. The recipes have remained unchanged and are characterized by a unique taste. History was made with the invention of the so-called "Eismarillenknödel", a delicacy that all to well known to the Viennese. These consist of a fruity apricot core surrounded by a creamy layer of vanilla ice cream, once rolled in grated hazelnuts and sugar. Small tip: If you decide to bring a supply home for the freezer, you should let them thaw a bit before enjoying them.

The owner and ice cream virtuoso Carlo stands with his varieties for inclusion, openness, experimentation and true taste explosions. With great love for the craft, not just ice cream is served here, but the creamiest gelato, based on exclusively high-quality and natural raw materials. You can taste the master's playful joy with every lick. In the showcase of the charming ice cream store in Josefstadt you can find varieties such as Byblos with mastic, orange blossom distillate and Bronte pistachios or Pyros, a vegan variety with French pear from Sablons and cinnamon.

The ice cream parlor on Schwedenplatz is a true Viennese institution of summer. This one is also always easy to find, because all you have to do is follow the queue. Over 100 types of ice cream await all ice cream lovers and those who still need some convincing. As early as 1886, founder Molin Pradel Arcangelo and a few friends from back home in Italy were selling frozen delicacies straight from his ice cream truck. A year later and with the help of his sons, he was able to open the first official ice cream parlor, then in the 20th district. After several moves and turbulent times, the current location finally opened in 1961.
