Why Montenegro is worth a Trip this summer

Long underrated as a European summer destination, Montenegro, a small Balkan state on the Adriatic Sea, is rapidly emerging into an exclusive getaway with a variety of picturesque towns, world-class hotels and groundbreaking nature.

Now is probably the best moment to explore one of Europe's smallest treasures. After all, it's only a matter of time before Montenegro goes from insider tip to absolute hotspot. The best conditions are already in place: idyllic nature, charming towns, delicious food and breathtaking hotels that you not only have to see, but also have to experience. As cliché as it may sound - there's something for everyone here.

In fact, it's almost surprising how such a small country can offer such diversity. After all, the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea are only one of the reasons to visit Montenegro in summer - crystal clear lakes, lush green forests (including Biogradska Gora, one of Europe's last three rainforests) and imposing mountain scenery complete the natural spectacle. Especially those who don't like to bake in the sun on hot days will love the breathtaking national parks. However, this does not mean that Montenegro is not an ideal destination for sun worshippers: with gorgeous bays, exclusive resorts and lively beach clubs, the perfect tan is guaranteed.
