The Most Expensive Property in the Caribbean Is For Sale

A 7-acre estate perched on a cliff overlooking the vast turquoise ocean and tropical plains of the Caribbean - what sounds like something one can only dream of, has become reality on Mustique.

In 1986, the epic villa "The Terraces" was built here, with its peach-colored stone facade and many different corridors and parts of the building. A mega-project that has recently become vacant and can be purchased or rented. Cost if purchased: approximately 190 million euros.

Royal living

The Terraces looks almost like a tropical palace, not only because of its sheer size and the elevated panoramic location. The estate is incredibly romantic and detailed. No wonder, since architect Tom Wilson was inspired by Italian buildings from the 16th century.

Outside, the Mediterranean building was decorated with round arches and columns, which form the pillars for the many arcades around the rooms. From there you can enjoy far-reaching views and shelter from the scalding heat.

Inside, the castle ambience continues: stucco moldings and columns made of light marble, hand-painted murals and ceiling paintings, and vintage furniture send you on a special journey through time. Nine bedrooms, a playroom and a movie theater are united under one roof. In addition, there are guest cottages, a chapel and other buildings for staff. Anyone staying here will undoubtedly feel a sense of royal flair.

Park feeling

The size and grooming of the magnificent garden gives a park-like feel, without any restrictive public garden rules. Not a bad feature either is the Moroccan-inspired entrance area with an elongated water feature, sculptures, and meticulously planted palms and bushes. From here, the open main house leads to the rest of the garden and the terraces with several pools including sea views.

Considerable amount

If you have a lot (and we do mean a lot) of spare change, you can buy The Terraces for the hefty price of around 190 million euros. If that is out of your budget, get excited for rental options. These are "only" 150,000 euros per week. The Terraces is thus not only the largest, but also the most expensive property in the Caribbean.
