The Top 4 New Year's Eve Locations 2020

Bye-bye 2020!

14 December 2020

Yes, the year 2020 was different. For that reason, this year's New Year's Eve probably won't go as planned for many, either. But that doesn't mean New Year's Eve has to be completely cancelled. Here you will find four Locations, where you can say a proper goodbye to 2020 while avoiding awkward party small talk.

Smirk allowed!

1

On the balcony

In winter, your own balcony might not be the best place to be, but on New Year's Eve it's the perfect way to celebrate the evening without having to attend a party. With the right clothes, a few candles, a sparkling wine, as well as ideally a heater, the turn of the year can be spent comfortably outdoors. Should fireworks stray into the sky here and there, then the balcony - depending on which floor it is located on - usually also offers a wonderful view of the action.

2

On the couch

A cozy evening on the couch actually sounds pretty tempting, doesn't it? You save time after you don't necessarily have to style yourself, you can finally unpack those New Year's Eve decorations that have been collecting some dust, and you can listen to your favorite playlist all evening long without another party guest interfering and wanting to make their own musical tastes known to the masses. New Year's Eve on the couch is also a great opportunity to watch the numerous movies that are traditionally on TV, play games you haven't paid attention to in quite a few years, or read your future while pouring wax.

3

In the kitchen

What no New Year's Eve should be without: good food! Whether it's a fondue, lovingly made rolls, salmon or caviar - it tastes especially good on the evening of the New Year. Your personal dinner can be rounded off with the finest champagne, bubbling sparkling wine or warming mulled wine. And there is probably no more perfect place for this than the hot source of culinary delights: the kitchen.

4

In the garden

If you have a garden, you can simply move your personal, small New Year's Eve celebration outdoors - at least just before the countdown. It's even nicer when there's snow outside, too, and you can realise how beautiful the winter landscape is that's literally on your doorstep. Fresh air is also a good immune booster, which is the best way to start the new year. What's more, with the backdrop of a colourful fireworks display, you can also use the space in your garden to dance the traditional waltz.
