Paris is always worth a trip. No matter when you come, the Seine metropolis always presents itself from a different side. Sometimes it'sromantic-dreamy, then you'll find it cosmopolitan and extremely urban. What always remains the same is the charm of the city. You can hardly escape it. So it's all the better that with the opening of Le Grand Mazarin a new boutique hotel in Paris conquers the hearts of travelers now.

Le Marais: Epicenter of Trends

It's no coincidence that the noble hotel collection Maisons Pariente has chosen the Le Marais district for its first 5-star hotel in Paris. Because this is where locals and travelers meet to enjoy the special vibe of the avant-garde district. This is where new trends are born, where you can feel the creativity at every corner. You let yourself be infected and inspired by it. And it is precisely this mood that Le Grand Mazarin, which opened recently, captures.

The hotel presents itself at least as dazzling and complex as the neighborhood in which it's located. Just a few steps from the Seine, on the corner of Rue de la Verrerie and Rue des Archives, it awaits its guests with 50 rooms and 11 suites. Each room feels like a hideaway away from the bustling city, and without any FOMO. That's because, in addition to its location, it's the boutique hotel's amenities that make you feel like you're not missing out on anything when you sleep in.

With feeling

Indeed, the décor is an unusual mix of artistic vision, warm colors, and cozy fabrics - we're thinking olive green and rust red velvet. Classic French tradition, vintage pieces reminiscent of the 1960s and a certain amount of opulence stand in stark contrast to the hotel's exterior. For that is hidden in an ensemble of three monument-protected houses from the 14th century.

This mix has succeeded thanks to the vision of Swedish interior designer Martin Brudnizki. Together with his London-based design studio MBDS, he breathed a bit of 21st century into French classicism. "I love the concept of an old-fashioned salon. That was one of the main inspirations for the design of Le Grand Mazarin. We wanted the hotel to feel like it had always been a part of the landscape of the Marais," the designer said.

Place of pleasure

But Paris wouldn't be Paris and the Maisons Parientes wouldn't be a luxurious hotel collection if it didn't also have a convincing concept for the culinary. So, the Boubalé offers a Dependance for Gourmets. Because here cooks the Michelin star crowned Assaf Granit. He serves a tribute to Eastern European cuisine - a legacy from his grandmother. While sitting in the beautiful winter garden and enjoying askenazi delicacies, you can start planning your next trip to the art galleries in the area or to one of the boutiques.

Afterwards, you can relax from the city life with a drink at one of the two colorful bars or in the spa. The latter is equipped with a wonderful pool. They also offer customized treatments and massages. For holistic beauty, the beauty treatment menu is the result of an exclusive collaboration with Parisian concept store Oh my Cream. Guests can choose Augustine Bader and Tata Harper treatments, among others. For those who still have energy left even after a day in Paris, it's best to go to the modern gym.
