St. Moritz is Calling!

Badrutt's Palace Hotel starts the winter season with special highlights.

16 December 2020

At the start of the winter season on 17 December 2020, Badrutt's Palace Hotel will open its doors again. After extensive renovation work, 40 newly renovated rooms and suites are now available to guests. Culinary highlights, a varied festive programme and special winter packages also create the best conditions for enjoying your time in St. Moritz in the most stylish and pleasantly varied way. The safety of guests and staff is of course a top priority this winter too, and so the range of services has been carefully refined and adapted. The hotel's spacious interior also guarantees plenty of personal space, while its proximity to the ski slopes saves a long journey to the lift. The special "Palace magic", which casts a spell over guests at this time of year in particular, characterises the exclusive and at the same time cosy atmosphere.

Time to shine

For Christmas and New Year, Badrutt's Palace has once again prepared a first-class festive programme and the spectacular decorations by the famous event decorator Vincenzo Dascanio will transform the hotel into a fairytale winter dream. Special events over the holidays include Christmas Afternoon Tea in "Le Grand Hall", followed by a festive dinner in "Le Restaurant" on December 24 and 25, and the annual Egg Nog Party on Christmas Day with a small, fine classical concert. To end the year in style, the hotel icon is hosting exclusive New Year's Eve dinners in its restaurants, some of which have won awards, in true Palace tradition - including four-course menus in "Le Restaurant" and "Le Grand Hall".

Culinary highlights

The new Palace Executive Chef Maxime Luvara brings a wealth of international experience and a great sense of innovation to create a unique pleasure journey for guests that will satisfy every palate. As the leading address for gourmets in St. Moritz, the Badrutt's Palace Hotel is home to a remarkable variety of excellent restaurants. IGNIV by Andreas Caminada, which was crowned with a second Michelin star earlier this year, entices with a fine dining "sharing experience" in contemporary interiors designed by Patricia Urquiola. At "Le Restaurant", guests enjoy fine dining and the rare opportunity to experience Guéridon-style service. "La Couple", which was once the first indoor tennis court in Europe, houses a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant by Nobu Matsuhisa. Guests at Badrutt's Palace can also retreat to the Renaissance Bar - Europe's first vintage cigar lounge - for a nightcap or a cigar by the grand fireplace. Across the street is Chesa Veglia, built in 1658, the oldest "farmhouse" in St. Moritz. The restaurant, the excellent pizza and the Italian-speaking waiters immediately remind you that Italy is only about 70 kilometres south of St. Moritz.

Rates for winter 2020 start at CHF 750 (room excluding breakfast, based on double occupancy). All bookings for the winter season from 17 December 2020 to 6 April 2021 benefit from the hotel's flexible booking policy (cancellations are possible up to 7 days before arrival).
