The Hoxton, Poblenou: Is this Barcelona's new trendy hotel?

Hola, Barcelona: On April 25, 2022, arguably the city's trendiest new hotel will open with The Hoxton, located in and inspired by the lively El Poblenou neighborhood.

April 22, 2022

With The Hoxton, El Poblenou asks the British hotel chain to Spain, for the first time: The hip newcomer also convinces in Barcelona with a mix of Brit style and a pinch of local inspiration from culture and art.

It's no coincidence that the London trend chain chose El Poblenou, of all places, as the location for Spain's first The Hoxton. The cultural district is a conglomeration of creative minds that attracts visitors from all over the world: studios and design showrooms line up next to craft beer breweries or restaurants, and right next to them are museums, shopping centers, and the famous Razzmatazz as well as the sandy beach promenade. Life is waiting at every corner. And can now be discovered from The Hoxton.

One night in Barcelona: stay at The Hoxton

The 240 spacious rooms at The Hoxton have been inspired by the region, as is customary for the hotel chain. Anyone who knows Barcelona knows that the city has a good sense of style that one can not easily imitate. At the Hoxton, this is evident in the Mediterranean tones of the rooms: warm terracotta floors, calm color palettes, and reduced floral patterns meet the stylish formal language of the interior. Add to this a lot of wood and a flood of daylight that can unrestrictedly penetrate through the large windows. All this ensures that you quickly feel at home at The Hoxton.

The accommodations are divided into the categories Roomy, with and without a view, Biggy, and the new category "Homey", or "Homey Pro", with its own kitchen, suitable for longer stays and families. There's also something for art lovers to discover at The Hoxton: The local John Brown Project curates the artwork at Barcelona's hip new addition. And for excellent beach reading material, just reach into the bookshelf carefully assembled by Hox Friends.

Tope

Over the rim of the cocktail glass, you spy the Sagrada Familia, surrounded by the rooftops of Barcelona - the view from the top floor of The Hoxton alone would be reason enough to meet for dinner and drinks at Tope. But there's so much more that makes the bar and taqueria one of the new rooftop highlights in Barcelona. For example, the frozen margaritas from the cool slushie machine, the best cask wine from Spain's vineyards, or a selection of refreshing beers locally brewed with great care. Palate pleasers include tacos with homemade tortillas and a successful snack selection - classic and simply good. And right next to it: a pool that provides refreshment and a good mood on hot days.

Pizza at Four Corners

Sun terrace, pizzeria, slice store, bodega: The Four Corners' four-in-one concept works. Just like the deep-dish pizza dough, which comes in a square shape and was perfected under the supervision of pizzaiolo Anthony Falco from New York. Not only guests, but locals will quickly add this delicacy to their list of favorites.
