"I don't want to be a number, so everything is very personal and also reflects my taste," explains Bernd Schlacher, top restaurateur and owner of the new boutique hotel MOTTO in Vienna. The Styrian put a lot of heart and soul into the former Hotel Kummer, directly on Vienna's boulevard - with the Hotel MOTTO he fulfilled a lifelong dream on Vienna's Mariahilfer Strasse.

The house, with 83 rooms and 8 suites, impresses at first sight with its extraordinary concept and the stylish interior. The walls are covered with noble fabrics with patterns by Arkan Zeytinoglu Architects. The furniture is not only coincidentally reminiscent of the Ritz in Paris. They were developed from the furniture of the Grand Hotel. Attention is paid to regionality - everything was manufactured and processed by local companies. Each lamp is truly unique and designed especially for the hotel. The result: chic, inviting rooms in which one encounters many loving details and in which guests feel completely at ease.

The attention to detail does not stop with the interior of the house. The work clothes of the employees come from Lena Hoschek, dead chic and elegant. The reception looks like a bar and perfectly fits into the overall picture of the house. A gin and tonic is served in the lobby as a welcome drink, which tastes even better in the unmistakable ambience. The rooftop terrace offers wonderful views, and if you want to have dinner with friends, you can sit down in the garden of the Boulangerie MOTTO Brot.

Sustainable and exceptional concept

It's not just the interior that manages the balancing act between Vienna and Paris - the menu also features a seafood platter alongside the classic Wiener Schnitzel. The wines served are all organic, the own beer is brewed from the bread leftovers of the house - the bread is supplied by the own bakery MOTTO Brot in the house. This is an efficient way to avoid waste.
