The name "Moskito Island" may not be the best marketing tool to promote a holiday destination. But if you're Sir Richard Branson, you don't need advertising to make your island in the Caribbean attractive. The domicile of the British billionaire, which only opened at the end of 2021, is already legendary. The Branson Private Island lures visitors with three exceptionally luxurious properties: The Branson Estate, The Oasis Estate and The Point Estate. Now, The Village joins the ensemble as the newest hideaway in paradise.

Call of the Caribbean

Each of the private villas has its own character. The Oasis Estate, located at the highest point of Mosquito Island, for example, offers contemporary design and beautiful views. In addition to the main house, it has three guest houses. The view from The Point Estate falls on Manchioneel Beach and Virgin Gorda – the most dramatic sunsets in the entire British Virgin Islands included! The Branson Estate is owned by Sir Richard himself.

The Village, a villa on the westernmost point of the island, comes with modern design in tow. Several smaller buildings belong to the main house that all blend seamlessly into the landscape and are reminiscent of small cottages. In total, there is room for 18 people. The villa has nine bedrooms and some unusual features.

The future is now

Among the ensemble's notable details is a hidden DJ booth that rises from the outside deck and looks down on the two-story infinity pool. Guests can relax in the glass-bottomed hot tub that stretches out over the abyss. There's also a slide that goes around the entire property. A special light and sound system takes the experience to the next level.

"The opening of The Village is the next phase in the ongoing development of Moskito Island – a private island escape unlike any other," said Jon Brown, managing director of Virgin Limited Edition. It was in development for ten years, with the goal to set new standards in luxury, stunning design and creative features. Each of the nine bedrooms has its own bathroom, a private living room and spacious terraces. The main bedroom spans two floors.

The highlights on the Branson island

In addition to the multi-level pool mentioned above, there's a sunken lounge, a swim-up bar, a second pool that's part of the main bedroom, and a fire pit in the middle of the pool. The newest property on the Branson island has a fully equipped gym, a movie theater and a kitchen garden as well, from which the private chefs source the ingredients for their bespoke dining experiences.

Outside the sprawling grounds of The Village, there are community facilities. These include a tennis court, a water sports center, entertainment and movie facilities at the Beach House, a private beach, and plenty of opportunities for first-class dining. You can choose to dine on the beach or in your own estate. Of course, there's also a spa that offers customized treatments.
