The Thai luxury hotel brand is coming to Switzerland for the first time. And with it all the advantages for which Six Senses is known and appreciated around the world.

October 14, 2022

Thailand is conquering the world – at the very least when it comes to Six Senses. Originally focused on tropical destinations such as Fiji, the Maldives and the Seychelles, or exotic places such as Bhutan, Oman and Cambodia, the brand has steadily been expanding its portfolio. With properties in France and Portugal and the recent opening of Six Senses Ibiza, the company has finally made the leap to Europe. And before Six Senses Rome opens its doors next year, Six Senses Crans Montana will mark the brand's debut in Switzerland.

Prime location

Crans Montana has made a name for itself as a winter sports destination as well. Since the Alpine World Ski Championships were held here in 1987, people come from near and far to take advantage of the 160 kilometers of slopes. The south-facing slopes are great for those who like to skin in the sun, while the cultural center, gourmet restaurants and luxury shopping delight off-piste.

The new Six Senses Crans Montana is glamorous addition to the resort in the Swiss canton of Valais, set in a prime location directly above the main gondola in Crans. Ski-in, ski-out – meaning from bed to the board – is on the agenda. The balconies in the terrace rooms and suites are designed to overlook the Chetzeron slopes. In addition to the tastefully designed rooms and suites, residential apartments are for sale. They offer up to five bedrooms.

Alpine time out

The entire resort exudes the ambience of a Swiss chalet. The surrounding nature and pine forests, private terraces, panoramic views and natural fabrics give the resort a special allure. Whether you've been out on the countless hiking trails in the summer or on the slopes in the winter, the Six Senses Spa awaits with relaxation galore.

Nine individual treatment rooms, an innovative stretch pod for fascia training, fitness facilities, a yoga studio and indoor and outdoor pools offer plenty of opportunity to focus on wellness and recreation. Another special feature is the pool on the rooftop. There's also a "Biohack Recovery Lounge" for extra-fast recovery after a workout.

Switzerland meets Japan

When it comes to culinary delights, Byakko is well worth a visit. The Japanese restaurant is inspired by the spirit of the Far East. Signature dishes include hoba miso, hot stones, sushi, fish and grilled meats. Excellent cocktails, from sake among other things, provided with aphrodisiac herbs, await guests at the bar.

At the brasserie Wild Cabin, classic European and Swiss cuisine is on the menu. Prepared and served with a modern twist. Those who prefer to stay in can take advantage of the in-room dining options.

According to the website, the opening is scheduled for December 2022, just in time for the winter season 2022/23. Stays from February 2023 can already be officially booked via the website.
