When it gets grey and cold outside, it's time for the next holiday plans. To these four dream cities you only need a maximum of four hours by plane.

Helsinki (Finland)

It takes just under two and a half hours to get from Vienna International Airport to Helsinki. The Finnish capital impresses with its incredible variety of sights and an atmosphere in which you simply feel at home.

Apart from the beautiful cathedral and the Chapel of Silence, Helsinki is also known for its sauna culture. If you've always wanted to experience an authentic Finnish sauna, you should definitely try it at one of the many spas.

The special thing about Helsinki are the people. Helsinki is world famous for its friendly and helpful people. And not to forget is the unique design, which can be seen here on every corner. The Finns have a unique eye for architecture and design, in hardly any other place you can see this as well as in Helsinki.

Cairo (Egypt)

Follow the sun! That's what many people think, especially in the grey autumn and winter months. If you are in the mood for unique desert landscapes paired with big city flair, you should definitely plan a trip to Cairo. Because the city is one of the absolute must-sees of this world. And it is only a three and a half hour flight away from Vienna.

Of course, this is also due to the history that lurks around every corner in Cairo. The impressive pyramids are a constant reminder of the time of the Ancient Egyptians with their pharaohs, hieroglyphics and the various gods. A visit to the pyramids is an absolute must!

Those who want to experience the unique feeling of Cairo up close, should also make a trip to the bazaar. Here you can experience the culture of Egypt as authentic as nowhere else and can certainly talk with one or the other local about the city. By the way, here you can also find the best souvenirs and unique handicrafts for your loved ones.

London (Great Britain)

No matter if spring, summer, autumn or winter: London is always an absolute tourist highlight. The city has so many different facets and offers that you can find an extensive program at any time of the year. Accordingly, it always pays off to fly to London several times. Also because the city is only two and a half hours away by plane. All the better, because whether it's the classic tour past sights like Big Ben, Tower Bridge or Buckingham Palace or a visit to one of the many museums: there's plenty to do here.

A visit to the West End is also highly recommended. The musical stages of London are unique and captivate not only with great shows, but also a unique ambience. Those who prefer it a little quieter should simply take a long walk through the city: Because London in autumn exudes a fascinating tranquility in the midst of the city bustle, especially along the Thames or in the parks.
